When the Lord told Joshua to “be strong and courageous” in Joshua 1:9, He did not mean Joshua needed to pull himself up by the bootstraps and manufacture strength.
Nope. Because in God’s Kingdom, that’s not how strength occurs. Strength always starts with trust first. Trust God wholly and completely. Lean all your weight on Him, so that if He didn’t reach out to work in your life, you’d fall flat on your face.
Because we weren’t designed to do anything in our own strength. We were designed to take joy in His strength.
